    Hello all

First post here. Just picked up a 2021 Voodoo Blue TRD Off-road. Loving it.

I’ve been trying to sort out some
bed storage ideas - I’ve read through a lot of threads on here, and looked at a lot of different boxes online. My requirements are that it’s waterproof, preferably below the top of the bed - and narrow enough so that I can have my trials motorcycle next to it at the bulkhead of the bed (so no top mount and not the low profile from
Northern tool that is too wide)

I’ve seen a lot of aluminum boxes out there with varying reviews - some are too small, some are too big, some may or may not be water right

One idea I had today - was to mount an RTIC cooler bolted to
the bed bulkhead with disc padlocks on either corner. The 65QT is the size I’d be after. It would be at least as durable as some of the thin aluminum boxes, water proof, and the right size.

Curious what folks think. Good or bad idea? Would it potentially attract more attention than a run of the mill tool box? Like anything else, would be to keep honest people honest and I’d just be using it for misc things like an emergency bag, jumper cables, etc.

    Thanks!
    Michael.

Definitely not a cooler. I have a 65, although a yeti, the usable space isn’t much.

Roam is a company off the top of my head that makes storage containers.

Cool thanks. I checked them out. They look like they would work well. My only concern is it looks like the lockable latches could be pried open fairly easily - like with a flathead screwdriver. I might be able to fab up an additional locking mechanism.

Yeah none of the containers I’ve seen have a locking mechanism that would work alone. Adding some sort of pad lock would be the best bet.

You can try out pelicans new cargo cases like the BX55S, they can mount directly to the side rails

    I use Roam storage boxes
They’re expensive but light - waterproof and lockable. Check out Roam online they have many different sizes . You can also build a platform with storage options for about $200 and a little bit of thought into what you want

Interesting. I was going to try and fab something up like that for the Roam box to attach to rails I’ll have on the bulkhead
