I'm wondering what the height is from the bottom of the bed to the roof of the cab in the gen 1 and gen 2. Also if anyone knows the height from the top of the wheel well to the top of the cab roof that would be even more helpful. I'm trying to figure out what kind of height I'd possibly have for sitting or not if I put a platform in the bed and put a Leer 122 in it for gen 1 vs gen 2. Sitting in one vs hunched in the other would make the decision for me.

Alternatively if anyone happens to know if there is enough height to sit at 5'8" with the Leer 122 topper on either the first or second gen Tacoma with a platform built over the wheelwells as low as possible to cover the wheel wells, I would appreciate it.

I can sit up straight in my cab height Leer with no sleeping platform. I can get you some measurements tomorrow. I'm 6'0.

If you can measure the height from your head to the roof and from the floor of the bed to the top of the wheel well that would be awesome! I could then use that info to estimate what it would be like with a platform and the Leer 122!

    Bed to ceiling: ~36 1/4".
    Wheel well: ~9".

Way too hot to climb inside but I'm fairly certain my head is right against the ceiling. If I had good posture it'd probably hit my head. Slouch a bit and I'm good.

Edit: I did measure slightly off center so the center may be ~36 3/4" or so.

Thanks! I need 36 or so inches to sit up, the topper would add 11" or maybe a little less. The wheel well takes 9", maybe 10 after the plywood layer. So basically, my head would probably be really close to the ceiling, or maybe hit if I put a thickish mattress on the plywood. Also I would only have so much height near the back... Hmm...
