When driving over relatively smooth roads and looking in the drivers side mirror I can see the bed wiggle and bounce a little. It almost looks like it’s flexing as the rear is going over the bumps or imperfections in the road. The passenger side does not do this and I can only replicate it while driving. It also doesn’t seem to matter what speed I’m going as it still does it fast and slow Any thoughts? Is this normal flex/wiggle and is is just supposed to be on one side?

yesterday i installed bed stiffeners not for this reason but, in the process of installing them i noticed 3 of the 6 bolts that secure the bed to the frame were not very tight. not sure if that is your cause but, you could check them. they are a T55 torx head but don't overtighten them.

Yeah I’ve read some that say the bed was loose. I hadn’t noticed it before the last week or so. Do you know what the torque specs are for the bed?

Yup that’s normal. The frame is open C channel and designed to flex. The bed will flex with it.

Pretty sure there is a torque spec for bed bolts. Something like 60 lbs.ft.

This! You're seeing frame flex. Totally normal.

Another vote for frame flex and functioning exactly as designed. Just because you didn't notice it before, doesn't mean it wasn't there. I watch mine quite a bit. You likely don't notice it on the passenger side due to that little message on the passenger mirror: "objects in mirror are closer than they appear." The mirror image is distorted to show you more so you likely can't notice the passenger side moving due to that effect.

:boink: Jk, it’s all good. But with a 2018, it better not be the frame rust thread!

it is flexing. the frame flexes a lot in the back. Try driving over a speed bump with just one rear wheel around 5 mph. feels strange when you do it for the first time.
