I totalled my truck amd they paid for my camper shell. Figured it in the price of the total loss.

Why are people still saying that the OP needs to let his insurance know about his aftermarket parts? The accident wasn't his fault so it should ALL be covered by the party at fault.

Yes, at some point you should let your insurance know about the aftermarket parts, but not in this case.

Sounds like it's going to work out for ya OP, on the other hand I would seriously consider a switch like others have said. No reason when your not at fault why your own company isn't helpful. Side note, going to look into my add on's lol.

I'm not sure if I covered this or not but what makes this whole matter worse, we have the same agent. I've been unhappy with State Farm for awhile now so I've been shopping other insurances. I was trying to get this done before I switched.

I really appreciate all the info and suggestions.

My input directly on State Farm. Got divorced going on 2 years ago. Ex wife was in 3 accidents the prior 1.5 years and NONE were her fault. On the last, we got our rates raises at the time I filed. I brought proof of the divorce, and of the new house I bought without her. They expected me to wait 11 months for the new policy on autos before they would look at just me and lower my rate. Simply......fuck them. So State Farm can kiss my ass and I now have Farmers for everything. Including my riders which are not needed since the boating accident.
