I could get away with leaving a gun on the nightstand when I was single, then I got married and started leaving the handguns in the safe (in my home office) and keeping a shotgun in the bedroom closet.

Now we have a nephew that will be crawling soon and likely spending the night when he gets a little older.........Any recommendations for a bedroom lockup that's quick to get into, doesn't need batteries, and is less than $150?

When my family or friends with young children come by I lock up the extra guns that might be laying around and put my carry guns on top of book shelves they can’t reach. That is good until they’re about seven and have been taught not to touch other people’s guns.

I have considered getting one of these to attach to each side of the bed frame to house my gun and my wife’s but haven’t gotten around to it.

I was looking at those, but wasn't sure how user friendly the electronics are. The little one hasn't been left here overnight (yet). but I went ahead and put a trigger lock on my shotgun for the time being....It's just not very easy to dial in the 3 digit combination in the dark. It'll be a while before he can open the door.
