Bedrug install question

I just installed a bedrug and the section between the tailgate and bed seems to make it hard to close my tailgate. I assume the fabric pinches between the two when it's closed but wanted to make sure this is correct.

Anyone have the same concern?

 

Pics? From what I've seen on others setups, yes? I don't think it really matters if it pinches between or goes outward when it's closed. Is it hard to close if it's outward?

 

I'll take some pics when I can but yes, closes fine with it outward but when the fabric pinches between them it just takes some extra force to close the tailgate. Just want to make sure I'm not damaging the tailgate in any way.

 

Pull the section up and out of the gap. The BedRug will conform to that position over time.

 

I just close mine and seems to close fine even though it folds down.
