You, Sir, do not understand what you're talking about. Come visit the west coast (specifically Oregon & Washington, California is an up-and-comer however) and I will show you real beer. And what you're ignorantly referring to as "any beer in america" is the swill made by the giant faceless corporations out of the midwest and patriotically marketed to hillbillies as genuine beer. But anyone who actually knows anything about beer knows it is just piss water.

And FYI, the few Canadian brands they sell out here are barely a step above the midwest swill and sold to the same hillbillies. The other brands can't compete with the local stuff.

 

Honestly, I could care less about your beer, or our beer for the matter. This wasn't supposed to be a pissing match. I was just pointing out that in Canada bottle openers are not needed, because we applied technology. If using outdated tech is a gimmick for your micro.. pardon, craft beer industry, to stand out against the rest then great. But in Canada our bottles on mass produced beer and pop, or even the small local micro brew and smaller locally produced soft drinks all use modern caps and bottles, no gimmicks required. So I guess it is you Sir that doesn't understand.

One of my first introductions to imported beer was Moosehead.
I liked the thick head, taste was so-so.
Never cared for Molson.
I can't stand Grolsch, Heineken, and some other European beers.

I love Guinness, Anchor Steam, Newcastle.

Of course, those are all mass-produced corporate products.

 

Skip the Keith's listing at the top, and read the rest. These are some of our local brews. From those who enjoy a good brew, I hear these are the tops.

Ok ok. Fun back and forth but I'm redirecting this thread. Who gives a shit about caps anyway?? Lol.

Lets keep with the recommendations of great "unique" brews we've tried. I for one travel a lot to both regions up north and domestically as well as Mexico and love to trade tips on great regionally exclusive beer to try out.

Ill start. I had one recently that I really enjoyed. It is in Kentucky ( Louisville and Lexington). Kentucky Bourbon Ale. It's a darker brew stored in bourbon casks so it takes on the sweet flavoring of a bourbon. Enjoyed probably more than I should have!

Bought a Starr bottle opener @Sam Adams Brewery in JP that I've been wanting to use... after reading this thread I found a way to mount w/out drilling or extra hardware and keep my bed rails clear.

 

Here is what I did. Very stable. Just going to put on when I need it.

 

I find it funny that everyone has to add a bottle opener to their truck. That metal piece in the bottom left of picture already does a good job as a bottle opener, I felt no need to add one since that piece works so well as a bottle opener

Kinda hard to use that one on a cold night snuggled up with the tailgate and shell closed
