Bedside dent and paint damage

It all depends on the insurance company. When I got rear ended probably 6 years ago, everything went through the other person's insurance, I didn't even call my company.

Rate didn't go up, and when I switched a year or so later there was certain categories of claims that did not impact your rate, and being rear ended was one of those.

90% of the responses are complete horseshit, and I leave questioning the validity of everything else I read on the Internet.

 

Ask Karen for half the cost to fix it and a quick piece of ass and move on.

 

I honestly had to look up no fault state (live in Florida) and everything mentioned about it here seems to be false. It has nothing to do with the actual property damage and the cost to fix said damage BUT only relates to personal medical bills and lost income. Min is 10k so your insurance would essentially pay for your medical etc up to the pip plan you have. If you have greater expense then your pip plan then you can sue at fault party. I don’t see how that alone can raise your rates, I read it as a separate but mandated coverage for your personal injury.

but from my brief research it has nothing to do with the at fault party paying for the damage to fix your vehicle. I think the wording of no fault is jacked up and super confusing. And I could of obviously read something wrong

 

That doesn’t make sense to me. No fault state looks to be added personal injury protection. So it’s there to cover your own medical and loss wages despite who’s at fault- Not the repair bill but even still it doesn’t make sense that your rates will go up based on you getting injured because of another’s 100% at fault for the accident.

 

A lot of Karen's talking out of their ass in here. File a claim with her insurance, get it fixed and move on.

The second hand market for these trucks is dudes named Josh and Jose that have sub 680 FICOs they're not going to give a shit about some paint work and will pay top dollar anyways.

My first gen had a tonne of paint work and it made no difference when it came to selling because it was done to a high standard

Getting a quote this week and if they cut me a check you best believe I'm chopping that shit right off!

 

So the repair estimate came out to $1,600. Now the question is... which high clearance bumper to get.
