So about a month ago I was turning left at an intersection on a small suburban road (Think paved but no turn lane) and as I was turning a speeding dodge avenger (Probably going 60 in a 35 because Florida Drivers) came around the corner that had been in front of me before I began turning but was now to my right and they caught the very very end of my bedside/quarter panel. The panel was smashed, my bumper was bent upward, and my taillight was popped out of it's housing.

The taillight still worked but the bulb needed to be replaced, so after a shipment of new bulbs, taillight tape, and some duct tape it was road legal again.

I've been searching and searching for replacement quarter/bedside panels and a replacement bumper but I've had pretty bad luck. Any tips would be greatly appreciated and what a good price for a quarter panel and bumper would be. Below I will attach more pictures for your amusement.

Here you can see my attempts to pull the panel out with glue, I also tried using a suction cup and ended up launching myself into the grass on the side of my driveway. The brown paint is there because during the accident some of my paint came off and that horrible Florida air started to rust my panel away. I sanded the rust off and sprayed some rustoleum over it just to try to keep it at bay while I sorted out how to fix the issue.

Unpopular opinion; Get a high clearance bumper.

Cutting for the installation will hide all of that and make it look good as new.

That’s exactly the kind of out of the box thinking I needed from Tacomaworld.

But do they affect how much space you have in your bed? I’d like to be able to keep using my truck as a work truck and grocery getter. I also need to be able to tow so I’m not sure if the high clearance bumper will work.

I tow. If you need the bed space/utility, don't get a swing out. Just a clean high clearance bumper without a swingout.

That sucks. One time at work I was pulling out of a parking space (back in parked), I looked left, didn't see anybody so I started pulling out. This stupid girl flying through the parking lot came around the corner at the end of the row and T-boned me. Her knuckle dragging bf was in my face, they didn't seem at all concerned that she was driving 40 mph in a parking lot. She was going so fast, in the time it took me to exit the parking spot she came around the corner and hit me

My insurance paid to fix her bumper, my door never got fixed

    Stupid brat..

"Hey, you pulled out in front of me!"

"Yea that's going to happen a lot if you drive through parking lots at 40 mph"

If you don’t want to go to the extreme cutting route of a high clearance, you can also look into an all pro offroad high clearance bumper with the optional wrap aound side pieces that will cover and protect that damaged panel. I bought the side aluminum pieces from a TW member for my existing bumper then sanded and rattle can the whole bumper to match. I haven't bought the optional tow hitch yet.
