Now to find some storage totes for the new setup. I had two large husky totes in my previous setup. I think I want smaller ones this time around so I don't overload them.

Little of this and a little of that
Not sure how small you want to go but @dan0mite has a container that looks like it was made for the bedslide. He mentioned and posted pics a few pages back.

Awesome! Enjoy it! Sorry I couldn't get you the full GB pricing, but I think you still got a solid deal nonetheless! :fistbump:

I thought I'd share with you how I installed my Bedslide. I decided to elevate it using 2x6's and 3/4 plywood in lieu of mounting to the floor of the truck. I wanted to have additional storage by having multi-layer model. I felt that if I mounted this to the bed then it would be a challenge to stack stuff in order to take full advantage of the entire truck bed with the topper on.

Wanted to let folks know that if you are in Texas and are looking for a Bedslide S for your Tacoma, let me know. I have mine for sale. I love it but sold the Tacoma and got a new Ram 1500 and purchased a new Bedslide S for it. This one was way too small for the full sized 1500. You can find the post on or Craigslist Austin, TX

Anyone here have a Bedslide 1000 Classic for a Third Gen tacoma?

If possible, could get some dimensions for me?

Reason I ask is because I am interested in purchasing a Bedslide for my 2015 Tacoma:

    https://www.bedslide.com/series-2-bedslide-1000-classic.html#!

From the pictures I've seen online, there appears to be a gap between the bed wheel well and the Bedslide. I would like to minimize the gap between this to take advantage of bedside platform space.

The application guide shown on the link above shows the following information:

    Tacoma 5' Bed 02 - 15 _ 58"L x 39.5"W 10-5839-CLS 105
    Tacoma 5' Bed 16 - C _ 58"L x 41.5"W 10-5841-CLS TBD

The bedslide for the 2016 - C Tacoma is 2 inches wider than the previous generation Bedslide. This wider model seems appealing to me since it closes the gap at the wheel wells.

Bedslide has confirmed with me that the 41.5" width on the 3rd gen Bedslide is the max width. Errors do happen and I wish to prevent that by confirming if anyone's bedslide 1000 Classic is in fact 41.5" by performing a field measurement.

If I remember, the 3rd gen bedslide was 1/2" too large to fit in place of the 2nd gen. I too shopped through all the mid size truck bedslides to find one that fills in the 1.5" gap on either side. The closest fit one is the ford ranger, but its sightly too long for the Tacoma bed. Sorry bro, I too was disappointed by this, but the bed slide is one of the best purchases I've made.

No one was able to confirm if a 3rd gen bedslide fit a 2nd gen Tacoma.

After verifying dimensions online, provided by Bedslide, and @willp07 I decided to pull the trigger and risk it. Figured if it doesn't fit, I could sell it locally and take a loss.

After sitting in the garage for nearly a month, I installed a 3RD GEN TACOMA BEDSLIDE in a 2ND GEN TACOMA

    With Bedrails:

Gap between the wheel well and edge of Bedslide:

It was very cloudy today, will post better picture of gap on a sunny day:

Decided to take the rails off, just as I took them off it started raining:

Very nice! How tight is it against the tailgate? If I remember that was the right dimension? Gap along side looks pretty much the same as a second gen bedside. I have a 1.5" Gap between it and the wheel wells. I find it most useful without the side rails.

Is it really? I wonder if they made them even more narrow since you bought it. The gap dimensions for the 2nd gen were a lot wider per the website information.

Good to know for future buyers when they read thru this thread.

The tailgate gap is close, I would say about 1 inch

Looking good @ramonortiz55 ! Glad it worked out. Definitely more useable space in there. I have no idea why bedslide chose such big gaps when they designated the ones for our 2nd gens.

Did you happen to use the no drill kit for the 16 Models? I'm looking into it now and would think it would work as well.
