Beekeeping it’s the bee’s knees

This one has a load on the landing gear.

 

My 2 colonies are buried in snow. Bottom entrance snowed in with snow past my hips if I try to get to them. They have an upper entrance at least

 

Took the truck to the bee yard

 

Unwrapped the colonies and getting them down to single brood chamber.
Then giving them away to a friend who has a farm.
Beekeeping in the city comes with a lot of headaches, stress, and worry about neighbours, swarming, little kids getting stung, etc.
It was a fun hobby for 5 years.

 

Do yellowjackets count? I always seem to unknowingly raise several hives every year.

 

What kind of camper top is that? How did you get your Tacoma? I’m looking to buy one, but it’s dicey sometimes on places like FB.
