Our headquarters company made the mistake of emplacing their .50 cal at the entrance to our compound which was manned by the line companies. Line companies weren't signed for it so they didn't care and nobody thought to bring another .50 to replace it and do maintenance (which they had plenty of time for). 15 months later that thing was rusted heap and you couldn't get the charging handle back. It had the same ammo box in it most of the tour (they never shot anything, just got mortared) and the links were starting to rust apart. Pretty sure it got laterally transferred to the next unit, along with the 113 it was mounted on that moved all of 30ft once a month.

I lose. Figured it was narrow and skinny. My C17 rides were always in passenger mode with the airline seats in the middle.

Throw tw sticker on a humvee or something and rep over seas.

 

Wouldn't know where that is, we were on foot the whole time. Had a high school buddy in 3/8, his truck got hit a few times as well. I liked being on foot, different kind of dangers but it felt more controlable.
