Been deployed? Post a pic!

Yeah I thought soo too but only for the day. That was the first day I put him in the the Humvee and that day was crazy. First we drove over an IED in a colbert that EOD said it didn't explode because some animal chewed the wired leading to the blasting cap. Then while we waited for EOD to clear it, a pair of Apaches heading back to base flew over us and spotted 4 guys with RPGs and AK's hiding 100 meters behind some berms and lit them up. Then after EOD cleared the IED we and head back to base when my Humvee hits an IED buried in the median but our Humvee took it like a champ and got us just far enough out of the kill zone to hook up tow bars. Hate to say it but everybody blamed the Chief for bad luck so he had to go lol. I like to think he was our good luck because nobody got wounded or killed. But oh well.

Yeah I have a buddy that went through Master Gunner School and he told me how tough it was. Yeah, EOD is probably pretty ridiculous. Nothing but respect for those guys. Nice to meet you buddy

new member, bought my first tacoma this past weekend, so far, so good. I think all the military support on here is pretty cool.

Here is a pic from the old Saddam Palace in Baghdad back in '03-'04. That is me with my old girl, Samantha. She was an M14 DMR; and wow we spent a lot of time together on that deployment.



A building that got jacked up before we arrived. It was the old Ba'ath head quarters.



The next two pics are from a fly over I did with the Blackwater pilots over the city. This particular flight was to look for the building they were using to launch mortars at us with. We did find it... and less than a week later an AC-130 gunship rid the earth of it.




I'll see what I can do about diggin up other pics... I managed to make it to Iraq, Bahrain (wow what a drink fest), Saudi Arabia for 45 days, Djibouti Africa, Okinawa, and the Philipines. Some of the trips are a little fuzzier than the rest....

Pics posted are of myself or guys that are dead either dead or out so it's cool. 1st pic is our bird went down, 2 guys ejected, bird rolled over our 18D (medic) and landed on his head. His helmet was crushed, we had to pull him out of it...he got lucky, broken ribs, legs and dislocated shoulder. The other guy that was ejected just missed all the debris. Wish it was a cool "we took fire" story, but it was shitty piloting from the 160th and they stalled it while coming in for the drop. Guy in pic was team sgt...KIA RIP. Second pic is a day after the crash, we had to continue mission with 2 guys down and were in the mountains walking around hunting for people, I'm the guy on the right. 3rd pic is our 2nd tour in the Helmand before there were any major military elements there. Just 10 Americans and the Airforce and all their killing power...Jesus was a JTAC. I was the MK47 gunner, what a fun job. Miss it. I'm out now and contract.
