This is what happens when units redeploy back to the states....you take their shit! Good thing we had the Hilux to carry all this gym equipment. KAF, Afghanistan.

 

Pretty cool thread I just discovered, great pics.

Here are a few from my last deployment, where I tagged along with the Air Force doing combat missions over Afghanistan (primarily).

I'm not ashamed to say that I love the deid!

 

I think in total from both of my deployments I spent about 72hours there if not less. Really wanted to dive into that pool!

 

I was jealous they had a Dairy Queen at the pool. Made my transition into Iraq that much better

 

Just went through the entire thread.

Many of you did more for your country in a week than I did in my 23 years of service.

Thank God you made it back alive and for your brothers in arms that did not, God bless them.

 

Been all over Afg and just came back from a current hotbed location. First pic is sunrise over KAF from Camp MCDowel Annex (gotta love the burning shit/plastic water bottle haze, YAY pending lung cancer!), TWall on our ramp at KAF, C-130 taking off from Bastion/LNK, knock off 5.11's that got mislabeled I think (New bazarr in BAF next to new PX on warrior side), lastly one of my fav panoramas over unfriendly skies.

 

Here's a few from Iraq back in 2010.

 

Last time I was on the warrior side I was eating at the DEFAC and noticed the fruit juice was actually labeled "frut juice" and minute made was horribly misspelled
