    Can’t leave base thanks to COVID-19. Food is still average. Dirt and sand is still every where. Can’t play any basketball cause they installed equipment on the basketball court. My only gripe. Other than that the Rock is still the Rock. :oldglory:

    That sucks man but you could be in worse places right? Lol
    I was on night shift doing the accounting for pol everyday. 6 on 1 off 12s. Not sure if it's still the same.
    But the chapel had the best wifi and those massage chairs were brand new when I got there. Since nothing else was really available on my one night off, I would usually chill there.
    If you get the chance to go to the Al Udeid I highly recommend it. Deployments there were awesome.

    This is from way back in 1982 while in Beirut Lebanon. I really miss that bunch of guys I served with. I would do it all over again, I don't regret a day of my 7 year hitch. I'll admit I've mumbled to myself a few times, what the hell am I doing here.

    I like white phos goggles if it's pitch black out. Any kind of decent ambient ground lights and those things just kill my eyes. The clarity, detail and depth perception is way better than the green tubes though.
