I remember "TK" when I was in Kabul in 2012, if it's the same fella he was one of our interpreters.

re-enlistments in our platoon were a little untraditional:

Funny. One of my Canadian RCMP brothers dropped a fully loaded mag in the shitter on Camp Eggers. Was hilarious watching him fish it out!!

omg dude. I would have chalked that one up as a loss and told nobody. Then again, these guys probably have to count their rounds and return them when not used or something. Oof.

Here's a pic from Iraq. This was at Saddam International Airport in Baghdad. Well, that's what is was called before we got there and took it over to set up airfield operations for 3rd Infantry Aviation. This was the 6th floor of an office building at the airport that we repurposed as our living quarters. We named it The Hotel California. That was the crew right there. I'm the third guy down on the right. Those were some of the best times of my life ironically in one of the worst places I've ever been. Army Strong!!

Did you shit in the golden toilet before they roped all those things off like some sort of museum? lol. Would have been the first thing I did. Then used the golden badai to was my ass. I got to visit the palace because oddly enough, my mother was deployed there same time. She was Navy and works under General Petraeus. I did get to visit here twice. We even had Pizza Hut on Thanksgiving because the DFAC was closed by the time I got to Liberty, or Striker... or whatever the hell it was... We just called it BIAP.

I did see one of those magnificent golden toilets but I never got to grace it with my ass! The palaces over there were insane. I was with 3rd Infantry Aviation and we cleared a few of the palaces and mansions adjacent to BIAP.

The thought of aviation clearing anything is both hilarious and scary. Half the kids don't even know how to load a magazine properly much less be anything resembling proficient at firing a weapon.

I was attached to Aviation. We were laid back AF. As long as we were in the building and off duty we could chill in our PT's.

What a shit show that was. A bunch of militia members paid by the US Government to "patrol" their AO's. 99% of the time we got hit, they were the first suspects.

Hahah RCMP probably only shoot like 50 rounds a year in training so that mag was almost 50% of his yearly total ammo
