No, that is the black fender flares that came with the truck.

go for it. I plan on linexing my rockers in the future because these tires really like to throw rocks and I live on a dirt road.

I voted no Line-X however if you color key the rocker Line-X to the body then I say go for it. Once I save some $$$ I'm going to do the same thing to my DC White 05 and it will be color keyed to the truck.

This looks not to bad. I was thinkin of doing the same thing since I have the Black and white theme. BUT there is a truck in town that has done it just like you want, and what I didnt like about the LIne-X or the Rhino lining is that it leaves a lip on top where they stop with the lining and I did not care for this as I personally would think that mud or dirt would start building up there and peeling the lining off. And here they said they will not lifetime the warranty of the lining since its not in the bed.
Just my .02 worth. cause I was really looking at doing this but not now.

    None, yet.
I wouldn't do it. If you don't like the way it looks after it's done, it'll be a pain to get off.

What's your purpose for doing the line-X??

Are you just looking for a different color?

That stuff is rough surface and although it might protect your rockers from scratches (if that's what your looking for) - all the road debris (bugs, tar, road crap) will be all over the line-X and probably a nightmare to get that off. I'm pretty sure the LineX won't stay looking 'nice/new' for very long. It'll be harder & harder to keep it looking nice. You can't wax it, you can't resurface it, and you can't clean it very well either. Tire shine is probably the only thing that'll make it look 'black' temporarily.

If its rocker protection you're looking for....look for some 3M adhesive stuff. With that, you can atleast take it off without destroying the paint underneath. Or - look into getting some running boards or rock sliders that'll help protect againest door dings & road debris.

Since you asked for opinions, I think it looks like crap on a light colored truck. Color match it to the body or nothing...

I kinda like the 2 tone look. Some of the older 1st generation Tacomas came like that from the factory and it was a good look.

I would suggest that in this scenario less is more so don't go too high up the sides and it will look ok. That and the fact that you have the black flares and bumper help make it work.

cantthey color match, not metallic but close. That would look way better. and get the flares done that way too.
