    Your parents handed you $30,000?

I'm already calling big BS on this thread.

I'll believe it when I see it.

If my parents handed me that money and I would honor them and spend it on school.

why does it matter how much money he has, or where he got it? Its obvious he loves his taco just like all of us that are here, and why give him shit for wanting to mod it the way he wants? Give him options, facts, and reasons why you chose your route he should take, or GTFO of the post.

Nobody on here should be forced to explain their personal life unless its on their own terms and want to do so.

As an 18 year old, I'm just giving my advice. I would definitely spend my money more wisely and save huge projects like this for when I'm older and have a secure monetary foundation.

Granted I do NOT know his monetary situation, that is just what I would do. :)

For someone who is of an older generation you sure do not know how to spell.

Some people are trying to give their advice about his options and that is to save his money.

To the OP: It kind of seems like you have your mind made up so why not just spend that money on it.

Personally, if I had that money I would hand it right back to my parents. First is because I would not even know what to do with that money. Second is because I do not want to end up doing something stupid with it. Third is because my parents have had to deal with my crap for 19+ years, so instead of spending that money on me I would tell them to go spend it on themselves.

I believe the OP. There are such things as rich people in the world.

Secondly, this is the second thread he has tried getting info from and everyone just tears him down for having money or wanting to drop it on his Tacoma. If you have info contribute. If not, stop ruining his thread.

Thats because there are some WISE people on this board who know better than to WASTE yes WASTE money on a tacoma. Anyone who thinks putting 30k dollars into a 25k dollar truck with no potential for return is a good way to spend money needs to take a class in finance management. If his parents have so much money i'm sure they didn't earn it by making dumb financial decisions.

Op should take the money, invest it so he can turn that 30k into 60k, then to 120k and start building his net worth....of course this would just be the mature thing to do, and would probably make his parents quite proud.

Its one thing to modify a car within reasonable limits.....but its bad financial advice to put money into anything that depreciates.

And what if he has that much money already. What if he has 1.57537 million dollars??? It doesn't matter. The dude wants to drop 30k on his truck, let him. Obviously he wants to since he had people crapping on the last thread telling him exactly what you just said. He started a new one, and now knows more, and still wants to do it. Stop playing daddy.

why do you care what someone else does w/ their money? what he does w/ his money doesnt affect you in anyway so just let him blow is money on his truck. obviously he wants to and it seems like he can afford it.

Maybe your confusing me with someone who cares....he can burn the shit in a trash barrel for all i care, someone was asking why everyone is giving him a hard time about it....and that would be because it doesn't make financial sense.

**OP also stated that his parents gave him the money to INVEST.
