Looks like they are doing the groupon again.

    http://www.groupon.com/deals/texas-gun-pros-1

There's a couple of others out there, but this is the one I got. Mainly because the only other one at the time was in Frisco and this is at the same place I did the Tx Hunter Safety course.

Basically, you take a course, submit your paperwork along with a picture...then you wait....and wait...and wait...and then, one day, it comes in the mail.

When I got my CHL it was about 6 weeks to the day for the license to arrive.

It took my neighbor 4 weeks.

When I renewed my FL CHL, it took them like 12 weeks...

...I had to call them and get someone to push it through. Apparently it sat on someone's desk for a long time because it was an out of state renewal.

I really wish Texas would close up the non-resident CHL loophole. I have ran into a couple people who have them and only one of them understood Texas laws in regards to CHL carriers. The rest could not even describe a 30.06 sign or what a 51% sign means.

In beer news - I am thinking about hitting Four Corners this Saturday.

I checked their website and the tour requires reservations. I'm not going to be able to get in on that this weekend. My ABV will not let me.

Went out to Revolver yesterday and had a GREAT time. Very good beer, 4 large samples a quick tour, and a nice Pilsner glass for $10. Friendly people and a live band. You'll have to pace yourself depending on what time you get there. They don't sell any beer just the samples and it's 12 to 3.

I thought I might email and ask if we could have a small designated parking area, might be neat to get a few photos. Anything else we'd want?

I live in Bedford and it was a nice 1 hour drive, real nice once you get out of Fort Worth, a nice hilly country drive.

I hope anyone moaning will really reconsider in spite of the drive. Again my hope is that we can do this once a month, we're bound to have one in your back yard.

If people drive for Cars and Coffee, surely our group will drive for Beer and Tacos.

Revolver is a great tour and it does not hurt my feelings if people want to stay away from my backyard and miss a good group of beers. :D

It looks like Granbury is trying to get a Cars and Coffee thing going also. I was in town on Saturday morning and saw a bunch of hoods popped up by the Starbucks.

The plan is for Revolver this weekend.

I asked about special parking, but never got a response. My plan is to get there at 11, mill around for a bit and walk over to the brewer around 12, 12:30ish.

This first one won't be very structured, let's see how many show, I did ask the admins for some stickers but might not get those in time.I also invited the guys from Rock and Roll offroad, they'll bring their Tacoma if they're back, but they were doing a Reno to Vegas run.
