    Back in the day, wheels for race cars were expensive and hard to come by. There was no "interwebs". So we made our own. On a '68 Camaro big block/4-speed drag car I had, I took 2 pairs of Chevy Rallye wheels, cut the outer lip off one pair, then the inner part of another, welded it up ( from 2 pairs of 8") into a pair of 10" wide wheels. Then I took em to a machine shop where they chucked em up on a lathe and got them almost perfectly balanced. I'd think in this day and age, a decent machine shop would have no trouble balancing them.

    Down side could be cost of doing the work...

    Also... A buddy has a 2002 Dodge 1-ton diesel with Buckshot mudders on it. They're about as round as a stop sign, and so out of balance weights did nothing for them. He put dynabeads in em. They now ride pretty dang smooth.

    I'm impressed with em.

    Edit- tire shops that do heavy truck and equipment work. I ordered mine, took them to the shop, and saw bags on bags of them sitting on the shelf. Ha ha.
