Just talked to the guy selling the wrecked Tacoma. Latest offer; $5,000. No meat left on the bone at that price. Still looking, just not at this one.

The day my CMC was performed by the precision technician @ DYF, it was 27 degrees that morning, and all the way up to a balmy 39 by days end. (+ wind blowing) Tank Trap was like a greasy skating rink.

Most better brands of paint now days isn't so touchy about ambient air temps. But...This is why most of my painting projects are done with an HVLP gun. I mix my paint with higher or lower speed reducer (thinner) that can be tailored to ambient air temps. I also use hardener where I can.

Higher or lower is in reference to evaporation rate/time. Very HOT reducer (high speed) evaporates too quickly in hot weather, but can allow you to paint in cooler conditions with a decent result. Slow (cool) evaporates slower to allow paint time to flow out in hot conditions.

Spray bombs are usually "middle of the road" temp range.

Neither do I.....But it sounds good....

A friend owns a body shop. I go to him with my paint requirements and he suggest's which reducer, hardener, and paint to get. Proving once again, it's not WHAT you know but WHO you know.

Or who you blow as the case may be..

You also have to adjust for how much thinner you use, to fast of a evaporation and you get "gas bubbles" in the coating. Also you have to put on more coats the more thinner you use because your dry film thickness adjust with that ratio. Also the coatings that you can use in cold tend to rely on a chemical change to heat up and cure the coating which is why its more than likely a part A and part B style coating.

But in the end scheme of how we use paint, spray it now and by summer you will need to touch it up and it will be good haha
