    We talking the early Tundra/T4R V8? I had a 2000 Tundra with that motor. It was pretty stout for what it was....pulled a car trailer loaded with a 9500lb tractor up the I 65 hill leading into Elizabethtown with that truck. Still doing 70 when ai hit the top of the hill, so I was impressed!

    Toyota 1UZ engine tuning
    1UZ Supercharger
    Don’t waste time and money to make NA tuning with ITB or stroker. It will be better to buy supercharger kit for 1UZ based on the Eaton M90 (or something similar). Such options have included everything you need. But may by you have to buy in addition a fuel pressure regulator. If you additionally install headers and performance exhaust systems, it gives a little more power.On stock internals at max stock boost 6 psi (0.4 bar), the 1UZ motor can develop up to 330 horsepower. It is the most reliable and popular performance tuning for 1UZ. You will get more power if you buy forged low compression pistons (CR=8.5), connecting rods, ARP studs, intercooler, injectors from 2JZ-GTE, Walbro 255 lph fuel pump, performance exhaust systems 3″, VEMS ECU. Setting all of that and increasing the max boost up to 10 psi (0.7 bar), yours 1UZFE will give out more than 400 horsepower.

    The 1UZ is about as reliable as it gets. They're one of very few car engines approved by the FAA for airplane use. Plus, 250 hp and an island of 250lbft of torque from basically idle. All in a package *barely* larger than a SBC/LS.
