    It's actually good to keep for frame stiffness and protection in the event of a rear collision

    The rear of Tacoma frames are actually quite weak
    Leave it in place is my suggestion or box your whole rear frame

    It's already been in a collision once. Royally jacked the truck it was on (insurance fixed his rig), bumper was only 10° off on one mount tab. 2lb hammer fixed that.

    It's somewhere in my build thread when I fixed it all up.
