Wedge heads and hemi heads are different. There was a strong debate as to which was better, but when the rubber met the road...more specifically, when the rubber met the RACE TRACK, the Chrysler Hemi was a tough act to beat. Early wedges made a name for themselves prior to the introduction of the Stage II and Stage III Hemi's, but once the Elephant motor (hemi) hit the track, the rest is history.

Ford had their run with wedge and hemispherical heads too. But when people say the word Hemi, it is usually associated with the Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth beast.

My '04 Dodge hemi was trouble free, except for exhaust manifold bolts that kept breaking. Once that was corrected, it was a very reliable engine.

I wish, I’m still in the buying parts phase of repairs

    Next phase is fabrication

    Most recent progress was-

Had to have my wheels re-drilled because the first diameter wasn’t large enough for the 5/8 studs I have

Then I took my 40 spline hubs to camburg and had them swapped out for 35 spline 300m
(40 spline 3rd member was too expensive)
Then I returned my 40 spline axels and ordered the 300m 35’s (they’ll never break)

Then I have been stalking solo since they said my order would be ready for pick up on Monday and now have informed me it will be another two weeks.

In the meantime my truck continues to sit in hovercraft mode :bananadead::ballchain:
