I'm on Dakars using original stock rear stops. Likely my rear shocks are acting as bump stops back there. :anonymous:
I'll wait til I get new rear shocks to worry about rear bumpstops. Meaning when I see oil or hear knocking from those shocks.

Stop completely, hold traction button for 5 seconds, drift away. Works for me anyway. Trac doesn't come on again until I push the button or turn off the truck.

Ok. I was thinking to be able to do it while moving.... example: on march 16, 2017, whatever the time will be, the memphis convoy will reach neville bay road from the trace, at which point gideon will proceed to drift onto the gravel road that is neville bay road. I plan on following suit, however, i will not have time or the opportunity to stop and turn off traction control. I suppose I'll just have to press the switch before we leave the gas station or store (whichever is our last stop) in murray and do that leg of the trip that way.

I know that. I ain't scared neither. Just want to be able to maintain the drift without the truck bitchin about it and cutting me off like a bar tender.

My truck suffered from the Yaw sensor issue that can't be fixed by recalibration or replacement. Symptoms were brakes being a plied to one front wheel while on curvy roads or exit ramps, throttle limited hard when turning/offroading. Pushing the button did nothing, holding it in while stopped made it drivable but still noticable, green wire mod knocked it out completely.

Thanks for the support and the link Everett. I'm going to do crom's method now that I've reread it and now understand it.

This will be easy now that i understand the mod. I've probably added somewhere around 180 feet of wire to my truck :cookiemonster:

Or you could just do locker anytime...which kills the ABS and traction control...and hit the switch when you turn onto Neville Bay Rd, and drift with TWO powered wheels.

It depends. They did make prerunners in the tx and tx pros, but not sure about the sport. Mine is basically an offroad that has the tx stuff: rims, steps, exhaust tip, and stickers. I believe mine was the first year the did the tx/tx pro which is the predecessor to the trd pro.

I believe the Tx package starts with a TRD off-road and adds small lift, TRD catback exhaust and graphics. He should have locker at minimum. Idk if '11s had ATRAC though?

    Edit:

have a-trac, locker, down hill assist.... all that shit. The my tx still had the stock off road suspension. The exhaust is the difference between a tx and a tx pro. Mine just had a round tip, where the tx pro has a cat back with an oval tip that has trd stamped into it.
