    That will be a good time to go. "Most" of the Alpine Loop is easy enough. I've run it many times. Whatever you do... stay away from Poughkeepsie Gulch.

    Thanks for the recommendation. I have the FunTreks book and it says:
    Rating: Difficult...Easier going downhill...One long, steep climb of loose rock is challenging without lockers. Other rocky climbs may require winching. Not recommended for stock SUVs going uphill, although, many manage it.

    lots of trails in Ouray, and my personal favorite is imogene pass which was already mentioned... but you could spend a week in Ouray and Telluride area and not cover all the trails a good many of them you would have no troubles in a stock Tacoma.

    Yup.. Did the Camp Bird Mine portion (or tired to until a ice sheet was blocking our way) back in March
