    Hey TW,

I want to start building my "overland"/weekend warrior with an RTT/Bed Rack/etc. etc.

My question is...I am able to get a solid deal on some new 6112/5160s. I do off-road but DO NOT rock crawl and will never plan on doing so...especially with my DCLB. I am also only looking to get maybe a 1-2 inch lift in the end.

Would the 6112/5160s be a good starting point for me with a Dakar AAL or Leaf pack?

Or should I save to get a Fox set up?

Icon/King/Etc. are a bit too expensive for me at the moment. So those are out of the question. \

If I am missing any other variables to the equation do let me know but I just want a suspension that will be able to handle the added weight of gear and tent...

I have the same kit with medium load OME daks sitting in my living room. From my understanding and I done a lot of research, the 6112s with 5160s is a good combo for the price. They seem to be resistant to rusting, are reliable, and have great reviews. I've see a lot of Icon and fox shocks that are rusty after a year or less. If you feel like you are going to put a lot of weight in the back, you can also put air bags as I am going to so you can keep it leveled no matter what. Don't forget about the ecgs bushing replacement as well!

The deal that I am looking into has the bushings included in the pricing...and I really can't turn it down :)

I run a OME HD suspension system and works great my rig is my DD so my tent comes off to save fuel. But still not a bad ride with no weight in the back. 20180415_072936.jpg 6235-MMS-1523818859338-attachment1-Snapchat-514371457.jpg 20180409_134533.png 20180315_150527.jpg20180324_175805.jpg
