They may not require additional drilling. Do you have a link or any info about the sliders you are getting? Mine are from Demello and they have additional brackets on the bottom of my frame that if I so choose to drill them out then I can make my contact points on my sliders go from 4 to 8 points. This is advantageous as it will make the bolt on sliders have additional strength in case the truck needs them.

Looks straight forward and I think the 3rd gen may have holes on the bottom of their frames? A word of caution though, as tempting as it is to bolt the slider first from underneath I highly recommend bolting the slider on by the side area of the frame first. When I installed mine, the Toyota bolt ended up slightly stripping out on the crossmember area due to the weak threads. I wouldn't be surprised if the 3rd gen has similar grade hardware. I would bolt one or two spots on the side and get them remotely snug, and then use the bottom to help align the slider up and then crank down the bottom bolt as the slider will now be supported by a bolt or two from the side of the frame. Get the sliders on first, if it looks like you may not have time for the bumper then post the install sheet for the bumper so we can bring some tools to help out!

As long as you got a nicely lit garage you can do it man. Where are you coming from by the way? Hopefully you got some sort of sawzal to help with the minor cuts.

Ok cool, think any of the MD guys might try to help ya out? Just having a guy hold a slider helps and a second set of wrenches can knock that out fast. I would offer to help if I was a little closer.

I'm still in as far as I know!

Trying to decide if I want to sleep in the bed under my cap or pull the cap and just sleep in a tent or hammock. Thoughts?

Also I know there's been lots of discussion about dinner, but what about breakfast!? I'd be glad to bring something, eggs, potatoes, etc.

I think I am going to bring some muffins and stuff to help with breakfast, but yea man I would be up for some eggs. I think I will try crashing in my bed underneath my tonneau cover. I recommend that you get a 20-30 degree sleeping bag though in prep for the cold at night.

I definitely have the gear to survive the cold! I'll see how the weather looks later this week.

Do we have a good idea of who will be there Sunday morning?

We need to discuss food for Saturday night. Are we thinking a big cookout or bring your own dinner?

I was bringing my own but if you guys are interested I have a grill that I don't mind bringing along. Makes a reason to cook up some burgers and dogs. Let me know

@fatfurious2 - if you don't mind, putting next to the individuals coming on the OP what they plan to bring.

Sounds like a plan. I mean we can all bring our own burgers and dogs. @NewRider isn't coming(for good reason) with his dairy cow meat.

Or We were thinking about maybe tacos since that's super easy on a stove.

Friday night we will be be there before sun down and have a nice fire going.

Sunday morning muffins are always easy. Cooking eggs shouldn't be hard. But they will get cold super fast. Unless we do breakfast burritos(depending on how many stoves we have) could be awesome

I will have a two burner stove to help with cooking. I was planning on dogs and burgers for the evening. Eggs for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch and some snacks

    A thing or two...
    @fatfurious2

I'm still on the fence as a maybe. I'm leaning toward yes, but I need to take inventory of my camping stuff. See what I got rid of when I moved a few months ago and if I can replace or live without it. If I make it out, I'll most likely be coming out Friday. Worse case, I'll look into a hotel.

    Basic overland stuff...
Thinking of making this. Few questions.

Any issues finding a campsite? We'll be driving 3.5hrs and would come up Friday and back Sunday?

    Any burn bans in effect?

How long are the actual trails?
