As any of you standard-cab owners know, the storage behind the seat is a little sparse. I decided to make it more useful. I started with cardboard and got my approximate dimensions as well as the locations of the holes for the child-seat supports and also the 5 threaded (M6-1.00) holes on the horizontal frame piece on the back of the cab. I then transferred and cleaned up the shape on a piece of roll paper and then cut out the design with a jigsaw in MDF board and wrapped the whole thing in carpet.

I found that the shelves needed a little extra reinforcing so I reinforced the bottom with some angle iron. I also added a t-bracket stop to the right slot since it worked better. Finally, I added small shelves for the upright ammo cans to go on top also made of angle iron. Plenty of storage for all sorts of stuff, plus that empty space in the middle will be perfect for tall objects or a Cobra 75 WX one day. ;)

Here are some pics without the cans. (My truck needs vacuuming)

I was a little worried about the whole assembly vibrating or flexing too much as the 5 bolts are all down the middle, but so far it's all solid as a rock, even loaded down with cans.
