    I would vote for aluminum. Will it fit in a access cab? I think the back of the access cab is shorter:confused:

    I think aluminum would be best for weight savings in the vehicle

    I joined just for this, I am in for one. Alum sounds best to be, but id be interested to see what the overall cost difference is between the two metals.

    The same stuff the bed is made out of would be cool, but ain't gonna happen. A strong plastic might be practical from a cost stand point as well as weight.:notsure:
