Just grafted the TRD Pro grill onto one of the 2016 Off-Road photos.

Looks like the generally hated "pig snout" is a lot more tolerable with this grill.

Toyota: If you see this, please send money to my bank account. :D

Here's another crappier chop, but hopefully gets the point across nonetheless.

    Not perfect, but WAY better.

Whoever makes replacement grills for this truck is going to end up with a lot of money in their bank accounts, that's for sure.

Well considering they're making Trd pros for the next gen that might just work out.

Well, that's a snout no matter how you try to sugarcoat it. A snout is a snout, looks like that thing should be rooting for truffles.

No doubt it will be one of the great offroad vehicles available off the lot in the USA, though. Ugly as sin, but probably only the Jeep Wrangler will match it off the lot hillclimbing in 2016.

If an aftermarket company came out with a grill that just filled in the area below the headlights and color matched it to the body, I would like the truck more. That gaping hole is too much, could afford to be closed up a bit in terms of looks.

If you go that far you might as well get the gen2 :D

I was merely trying to get rid of the gaudy chrome stuff, and wondering how the TRD Pro style grill may look on a gen3. I always prefer the badge says "TOYOTA" as opposed to the "beanie in a sombrero" logo.

    Might as well. :D

I was trying to see what it would look like with a smaller grill, that new one is just too damn big!

The grill is the one of the few things I don't like about the 3rd gen...seems like Toyota's styling in general is off the rails. They have gone down the road of love it or hate it...while before their styling was bland and safe.

That and no amber turn signals in the rear lamps.

Think it is one of those to each their own things..."TOYOTA" written out on the grill looks out of place to me on the modern trucks.

I like the grill, blacked out, with chrome bars personally. The horizontal lines without the additional chrome make the grill look smaller and less overwhelming.

Also you could just black out the bars...but I think some chrome looks better.

I don't know why Toyota just doesn't make all of its Trucks with the Toyota letters across the grill instead of the Logo. It looks so much better.

    Those look pretty good, actually!

Wonder if the base model SR will have the whole front blacked out?

Kinda liked it when they used to tuck it in a corner.
