Being told by dealer that parts are not available yet? Is this bs?

I noticed mine has a couple dirt nibs here and there, but nothing like that one guy who's truck is littered with them. Both of my 3rd gens were the same way honestly. Now, we have a '23 Camry that was assembled in the USA and I haven't noticed any. The paint will chip if you look at it funny, but I haven't noticed any dirt nibs or other defects.

I mean, if you want just pull the clutch wire and see if the noise is still there.

Ouch. I was going to like your post but it's difficult to "like" that sort of news. The local dealership had a dozen Transits sitting on the lot for months waiting on a birds-eye / 360 camera software update earlier this year.

I think that none of the TRD parts will be available until the Trailhunters and Pros are on lots. Why would anyone want to buy one at launch if they could have all those parts on their trucks now?

I also think that the hold up is possibly ARB needing to produce all these parts. Being an OEM part supplier is a lot more demanding than just making stuff to order for overlanders

So... if they had the part, they'd make money off of Toyota by installing it.

Toyota isn't having a hard time getting any of their other hybrids out on lots...

I figured that. But the fact they gave me so much resistance on a obvious defect is weird to me. They finally admitted something was wrong and then said they would call me when the part comes in. I'm not convinced it's the ac clutch and im more upset they didn't do more initially to diagnose.

This is exactly correct. Every part they have is going on the line to make another truck. It will take a while for part inventory to build. And I've been involved as well in having parts pulled off the line to fix an existing vehicle. Wasn't easy to make it happen, but it was doable in some situations. Those days are pretty much over now.
