OP , maybe you should climatize yourself first .

Start with 30 minutes a night standing in your fridge , after a couple weeks you'll be ready to move on to the freezer

Thanks for all the great comments everyone.

Hopefully I'll be ok with the cold... heated seat, good tires, block heater on the way, shovel, check.
I've typically lived in the NW USA where we have snow in the winter, but I have a feeling the wind/snow up there will be a little more severe than I'm used to. I'll have to do some shopping or have my wife send me some care packages with good stuff to keep me warm. Luckily only half of my time is out of the office and in the field, and half of that time I can spend in the truck. My company is the general contractor, so I just have to supervise subs to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to and working safely.

The hockey is going to be rough. All I know is there are 5 guys on each side trying to get the puck in the net. The rest of the rules are totally foreign to me, but I will give it an honest try.
Hopefully I can still catch American college football up there!
My drinking tolerance is down, but I'm sure being there without the family and hanging with co-workers it will be built back up to a respectable level. And I hear Canada has killer strip clubs lol. Good thing my wife's not the jealous type and doesn't care about that stuff!

Does a dealer in Canada honor the warranty on an American vehicle?
Or the 25k of free oil changes?

    Ugh, I hate plaid.
But I'd sport a plaid hard hat if I could find one!

LOL no but it sounds like a good contest for me and the others being sent.

How about lodging in the area?
Looking at maps on the internet I think Stettler is going to be my best bet for finding a motel to stay in or maybe a small apartment, and still be within an hour's drive of the work area.
