Belt Tensioner Noise?

my all stock ‘14 4L w/ 140k just started a noise from drive belt area.

i changed the belt and upper right pulley. all pulleys checked out by hand.

p.s. my 140k belt did not have a single crack.

so what’s my next move?

1. replace the tensioner asy?
2. replace alternator?
3. replace the other pulleys?

Either go buy a cheap harbor freight mechanic stethoscope or use a long screwdriver to listen while touching the bolt of each component with engine running to locate the noise.

 

alright you are the man - used a pipe and best guess is the sound is from the alternator. the sound from the alternator is consist with the noise. all idlers are consist and same as the new one I replaced.
