Things are going OK. I spent four hours tonight removing the bench, cleaning the carpet, cutting holes in the carpet, removing the wire harness from the bench, getting nervous and wondering what the F I am doing, getting a grip, reinstalling the weight pad in the pass bucket seat, installing the pass seat, and connecting the pass seat up to the wire harness.

I called it a night after installing the driver seat only to realize that one of the feet got bent somehow and needs to be straightened out before I can get the bolt through the hole to mount it to the floor.

Fingers crossed that I can do that tomorrow and finish the wiring. And fingers crossed that all of this just works when I go to reconnect the battery and start up the truck.

All installed and functioning normally, except that when I go to sit in the passenger seat and buckle my seatbelt, the seatbelt light goes off, but when I get out of the seat, the seatbelt light stays on until I turn off the truck.

    What’s up with that?

Never mind. Even though the occupancy system is from 2007, it is very complex and comprehensive. The seatbelt light for the passenger will go off if you get out of the passenger seat, close the door, and walk around to the other side and get in the driver seat and fasten your driver seat belt. Therefore, all systems are operating normally. I am delighted.

I know this is an old thread but is this job still make you side airbags work or does your airbag light stay on?

I wish the bench seat could recline, I’d keep it for just 2 inches of reclining ability
