Trying to go to a pull-a-part to get buckets seats for my truck . But they don't have tacomas so is there any other Toyota vechicle that I can swap with ? Or do you have any ideas what I could do ?

3rd Gen (1996-2002) 4Runner seats will be very close to a factory fit (i.e. 3 out 4 bolt holes per seat). 1st gen Tacoma seats will be the only thing ones that line up perfect, but anything is possible with a torch, BFH, cutoff wheel, welder, and a grinder.

Makes it even harder that they changed the colors between '00 and '01. Good luck.

Do the standard-cab early ('96) Tacomas, with bench seats, have the extra mounting points for bucket-seats?

Found a good write-up on Tacoma seats in the DIY thread at the 'sticky' section here.

can't speak for early first gens, but my '01 reg cab w/ bench had the forward, inside mounting points in place (drilled with a welded nut). Inside, rear mounting points were stamped for reference but had to be drilled.
