You think you'll need to do that? I run that size, all I did ws the pinch weld /big hammer mod and 1.25"spacers. I thought the 3rd gen had more clearance than mine. I ran my wheel set on my 05runner with no issues. No spaces either.

I'm not sure yet but I want to look at all my options. I don't plan on getting them until I fix all my issues with my suspension

Passenger side upper control arms were made too thin, so I had to run a smaller washer which can cause increased wear on the bushing and create noise. I'm waiting on the manufacture to send me a new one. Then the installer of my suspension did this :

Wow, i'd say the installer made a poor decision.

    Visiting from the golden state.

You fellas have a great little town here. I’m leaving tomorrow, but it’s been perfect. I plan on swinging by the REI on my way out tomorrow afternoon.

It’s no wonder soo many people from California move up here.

My sister moved to Bend from Alaska. She likes the duality of mountain town and urban landscape it plays here. A little of The Bay Area and a little of Alaska all rolled up into a nice little tree town. I’d love to stay longer and meet the local yocals. Maybe next trip.

Anyone in Central Oregon good at diagnosing vibrations?

I’m chasing a vibe that’s driving me absolutely crazy and I can’t determine if it’s the drivers needle bearing or anything else. I’ve researched for hours and I have zero luck.

The vibration is most noticeable above 40mph and seems to be around 2500-1200 rpms. It’s like a rumble strip feeling and it’s hard to say if it’s in the steering wheel or body, it seems to be felt everywhere.

I know with the needle bearing it goes away in 4wd but it feels like that doesn’t change it.

I’m getting an alignment on Wednesday to see if that helps but after reading some articles about alignments not causing vibrations I’m worried that it won’t help anything.

I can’t recall exactly when it started but I feel like it was after the snow we had.

The truck is a 2015 Pro 6 speed manual.

It has 285’s but stock 16” wheels.

I just had the rear u joints and center support bearing replaced as well as the driveline balanced so that can’t be the issue.

I just had the tires balanced and it didn’t change anything.

Any help would be much appreciated before I go absolutely crazy.

Go on and go crazy. I have a shimmy that I can't seem to fix also. I'm just short of switching tires with the 4 runner just to see if that works. Could be my steel wheels.

On a side note: a friend asked me to build up an adventure trailer for her. Anyone know where I can get some 8th inch angle iron? 2"by3" about 70"long?

I'm not there riding in your truck, and idk how bad it is. But it could be any number of things, how many miles on your truck? Could be front driveline, and bushing or ball joint, bent wheel. Who knows man. You can search on here for a million hours.
It's a lifted truck. I dont think I've ever had one that didn't have a squeak, pop, shimmy, shake whatever. Just kinda how it is. Why do u think they come stock so low with highway tires, and why do u hardly ever see old men in lifted trucks, there sick of it.
Sorry that's not more helpful. But it could be anything.

This^^^, agree with Bryan. I'm at the stage where now when I drive up the hwy I review everything I know it's not and think, "well, when it breaks that'll be it".

There's way to many variables to help really. Have no idea what's done to your truck or what wheels your running. What size wheels did an 03+ truck come with?
No real short cuts if you want to go a custom route. Gonna have to take the time to test fit and see if it does or doesn't work.

Or just out replacement factory breaks on it. You know they fit.
