A quick internet search will be your easiest way though most things listed via internet are the more common places that people go.
For general ghost towns in OR go to http://www.ghosttowns.com/states/or/or.html and you can search towns by county. In between the towns are old homesteads and such which are pretty cool. ALWAYS go to the closest house (most likely the owners of the property) and ask permission before just going on the site. I've found that most property owners are pretty nice and let you look around and take photos...... sometimes they let me take my metal detector in, offer them part of the 'spoils'.
Same thing with the hot springs. Some are on private property and some on BLM. I've found a couple "hidden in the woods" way out in the Ochoco/ Malheur forest between Prineville and John Day areas but, I'd have to go get lost again in order to find them. Try this site for a general map http://soakoregon.com
Most of this stuff isn't too far off the beaten path. Happy explorations.

Thanks again for the info Willie, I've been wearing out the google machine searching for places to visit, things to see and stuff to do. Really wishing we had even more time to explore and tour around. Google has been a great tool but pales in comparison to pointers and advice from locals like yourself. I start googling and end up jumping from one thing to another constantly and eventually forget what I was looking for in the first place..... lol! Thanks for the advice and I'll be sure to check out those sites.

Hey Rob, long time no gab. Congrats on the new niece! I have a soccer game at noon; actually the daughter. I'm too fat and lazy in my old age. Can't speak for anyone else about today. Next week some of us are going to Cline butte to slice up tires and dent panels.

Could not begin to say what trails w were on. I was in the middle of the pack and not really paying attention. I smiled for the photo ops and made crass comments on the radio. There were lots of sharp rocks. Most were black. It took the better part of the day to get 3 trails, but, we had a rather large group. On the whole, it's not a huge area. I'm no help. Sorry.
I'm really hoping my schedule takes a turn for the more gooder by Saturday.

Affirmative. I see you been lurking on three gitout.com site. I've been riding with them for about 4 years now. Great group of people.
