Thanks for all your input and offers! Willie64 I may just take you up on that. I'm planning to order this setup, which i think includes everything. My truck is stock and hasn't had any changes to the suspension that I am aware of. As far as my timeline, I leave the country on the 26th for about 5 weeks. I wouldn't mind getting it done before then but if it doesn't work out, I can wait until I get back at the beginning of June. I tend to have more weekdays free than weekends coming up but could move some things around. But if it doesn't work out, I can wait until I get back.

I would prefer to do it myself, just for the learning process as well as the savings so again, I appreciate the offer to help. I'll probably order the kit tomorrow and hope it gets here soon.

Love my old man emu kit. If at all possible pay for them to pre assemble. It makes the front sooooo easy! I have monday- thursday off. I don't have any tools right now that could help, but I know how to do most of it considering I just did mine last week. My tip for the back is to do both sides at once, we tried doing one leaf pack at a time and it was impossible, set the truck on jack stands on the frame just in front of the rear wheel well, then jack just on the rear dif, its nice to have an extra set of hands to help jack the rear leafs into place, we put the front bolt in and then lined up the rear shackle for the leafs. @bertram

I'm sure there would be multiple ways to mount it. Baja makes a awning mount for a 5 inch tall basket. Not sure how tall yours is, but the price is a little expensive. Cvt sells Baja baskets so I'm sure a call to them would give you a couple ideas. The awning still has the L shape mounting brackets that came with it. Some people just hose clamp those to the bars on the rack.

I want to lift my truck. I don't know shit about suspension, but I know how to turn a screwdriver. Should I piece a kit together, or just buy a kit?

I see some folks selling rebuilt shocks. Wth would someone pay so much for something they have to rebuild? I haven't had to rebuild my stock shocks.

    Workin' on it....
Shocks are a consumables and need to be rebuilt (high end Kings/Fox etc.) or replaced (stock / OME).....just depends on your use. If your needs dictate high performance shocks you will accept having to spend several hundred dollars to rebuild them every 15-30k miles.

I have some Toytec coilovers for sell, cheap. One shock is shit/shot. Rebuild both with new shocks for a lot less than new coilovers.
    Just saying.

Pics? What springs are they? The standard 1.5-1.75" lift springs or the 650lb heavy duty ones? How many miles approx? What shocks are on them now?

EDIT: Nevermind I see you have a 1st Gen so I will assume what you have is for a 1st gen. If they're for 2nd gens I would be interested.
