Nah. The word Y'all is just fun to say. It adds color and whimsy to conversation. It has endless applications. You northwesterners just don't have the good humor to appreciate it. :cookiemonster:

    Portlandia is SOOOO accurate!

Fortunately I live just far enough west of "Crazyville" than I"m spared the vast weirdness that goes on in PDX.

    Wow!

That was pretty specific. What would rate this location on scale of 1-10?

    To me its about proportion.
My single cab Toyota pickup, both ford rangers both had 15's.

    My 99 4runner had 16s

    My 14 tacoma has 17s.

I like having rim size to look like they belong to that vehicle.

But my favorite wheel combo will always be a 15' on a 35

No, if I’m feeling reallly smug I’ll just post “can I fit 33s with a 1in lift”

1" lift, a sawzall and a sledge might get it there

I didn't mean smug in a bad way, I read that again and it sounds passive agressive.

That is highly dependent on which side of the transaction you're on.

This combo only existed on previous pickups. Not my current 14 tacoma.

Anybody, but me, remember when on 1/2 ton trucks 14" was the normal & 3/4 ton's had 15". Then went to 15" on 1/2 ton & 16's & 16.5 were on 3/4 ton's. My "99" 4X4 1/2 ton Dodge Ram came with 16" & then my 2013 Taco had 20" (aftermarket), when I bought it. Dang, not that long ago, my tractor & trailers wore 20" wheels & tires. I never remember anything "noticeable" from one size to another. The big difference came back in the early 70's with the introduction of the "radial tires". Huge improvement for traction, handling, & longevity. Looks will be the only "NOTICEABLE" difference from a 16" to a 17". Just my opinion.

2 things and that's it. 1 can upgrade to the 5th gen 4runner brakes with a 17 and 2 tire selection is a lot larger especially if you are going up in size and sometimes same tire in a 17 is cheaper than in a 16 just due to popularity and size. That's it other than that pick what you like and have at it no real disadvantage to the 16s unless you get crazy and want to run really big tires like 37+.

I remember when 17s were not even an option on vehicles and pretty much all trucks came with 15s unless it was a dually. The biggest aftermarket wheels were 18s and that was huge and like 4 tires were available in that size. You're not alone.
