If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Exciting mod week for me. I picked up a practically new ARB bumper last Friday for $200 (missing hardware, and side-braces) but either way that's a freakin' steal!!!

I picked up all the necessary hardware for $25 at Home Depot, and ordered the side-braces from ARB (local to me) for $42.

On Tuesday, I replaced my 1" blocks with Dakar D29XL AALs, and will be replacing my 885s with 886s tonight.

Also need to replace my hawse fairlead since it won't work (well) in the ARB. Scored a black roller fairlead from DDD (thanks again bro), and picked up some Daystar Delrin rollers so I can still still run syn. line safely (I know "NEW" steel rollers work fine, but I wanted Delrin).

I will hopefully be modifying the ARB to accept my stock fogs (or any 5" aftermarket) by adding some "cans". I will try to replace the stock bulbs with Philips HIR2-9012, if I can modify them to fit.

AAL and 886s installed. The coils raised the front 2", and the CVs are at a pretty high angle, but I think when I add the ARB and they settle-in, it should be a perfect height.

The D29XL kept the rear at the exact same height as the 1" block, so that's good.

I was able to change coils w/o removing the shock. :D

Looking good. Do you have top plate spacers?

And something looks a little off about your coil seat. Is it actually angled like that or is it just the picture?

Yup, kept the toytec spacers in there for now.

The coil cup is supposed to be like that. It wraps around with the last coil.

Damn, you must be sitting around 4'' of lift in the front then. Never noticed that about the OME coil seat. Now I know.

Thanks mang! Its a slow build, and I'm a penny-pincher so that makes it even slower.

The front dropped 3/4" overnight, coils are settling down.

No shit, that was a once in a lifetime deal! Thanks to TW's (jeverich) Craigslist sleuthing. I couldn't pass that up.

    No problemo!

I hear that penny pincher stuff. I mean if you're gonna own the truck for a long time you may as well mod it slowly so ya don't get bored!!

Sounds good man, PM me with any questions.

I plan on keeping it for a while, and depending on what shape it's in after 10 years, I might get crazy with it to get another 10 years out of it (1KD-FTV half-chop :drevil:)
