Thank you sir! Gives me the feeling that I'm gonna have to go with at least a 1.25 spacer to get the tires setting where I want them to.

The 1" put the tires almost exactly flush with the fender flares.
Not bad at all. It doesn't lurch when braking or cornering. I had to put 886s on to compensate for the weight though.

Taking the sway bar off made a big difference when driving through roundabouts; there's a lot more body roll.

Do you have any pics of how much if any trimming you have done to fit the 285/70/17's

Yeah I had to get use to mine but I like the way it feels a lot better now without the sway bar

Just realized that there seems to be some pretty significant damage to your fender! Thanks again for the pics! I asked UncleArt to do the same so I have a comparison of the different tires. Probably gonna go with spidertrax on mine

I'll grab some pics later today. The front liner is tucked up now (since I put the ARB on), but I had to trim the rear a little and also did the CMC

Lol, yeah...about that. There are a couple cringe-worthy spots on my truck, but they all come with a good story and great wheeling memories :D

I just tucked mine too when I put on my Pelfreybilt. Can't decide whether or not to cut it. I am really anxious to get into more wheeling and I just want to avoid crunches like that lol

Forgot to take pics yesterday. I guess these aren't the best examples, but maybe they will help you out:

You can see the small amount of plastic that I trimmed, and also the CMC (yet to be plated in )

Nope, the only trimming I did was the fender liner (as seen in the pics). I am also running 1" spacers, so keep that in mind. Your wheel's backspace will dictate what your potential rub-spots will be.

Alot of guys like 255/85s as well...Tall 'N Skinny.

I have 1.25 wheel spacers so it will be close to yours. I also have the lr uca and at 3 " up front was 3.5" until I added plate bumper and skid plate.

Hey just wondering if you've regretted not getting the OR, or are completely 100% happy with the Sport?

Wondering caaaaaause I might be switching to the 2nd Gen side of the forum :spy:
Looking to get a DC, but since the OR doesn't offer the LB I'm thinking about the DCLB Sport... although the only aspect of that which I will miss is the rear diff locker.

Overall curious as to how you have been liking your rig. Hope all has been well lately, I dig your ride!

    Thanks Mark!

I love my rig, and what it has become....buuuuut I'd be lying if I said I don't want a locker. I've never been in a situation where I had to turn around b/c I'm not locked and have followed locked and SAS rigs through some pretty tough trails, but sometimes I have to get more creative and/or aggressive to get up & over some obstacles - and I have the dents and pinstripes to prove it :p

The DC/LB is long - but again, I have managed to get it down some very narrow Jeep trails, but at the risk of more scratches or dents. Sometimes I look out the window and think "Naw, it is the perfect length" while other times I see it and "Damn, that is so fucking LONG!" Trail Limo is definitely a fitting title.

If you really don't need the extra 12" in the bed, I would get a DC/SB Off-Road. When I was deciding on which Taco, I was playing in (2) bands full-time and needed to cram as much gear as possible along with 3 passengers, so the DC/LB with a canopy was an easy choice. I almost got an AC/LB, but the back seats were just too small. I hadn't planned on mod'ing it for trail use but it is still very functional nonetheless. I don't regret it, but in my current situation (1 band and more off-roading), I would get a DC/SB or maybe even a reg. cab.

Hope this helps, and you know there are always tons of us in the PNW to lend a hand with mods if you get a new rig! Good luck on the hunt, man!
