    Yes I currently have a F150. I have been lurking here because I have been interests in possibly buying a new 3rd gen in a few months. I used to own a 1st gen several years ago.

    Every body mount bracket I've ever seen that I took notice to has always been welded on to the frame. So I would agree with your statement. It would seem in that case that abuse was the only way for it to bend of that indeed is how they are mounted on a 2016 frame.

    bunch of stuff - Bro Pro style
    Bushings cracked, brackets not impossible to bend but like I said the truck would have to be dropped from a considerable height to bend them, and I would probably say they would crack not bend. I wasn't kicking down the OP, but the OP should confirm the diagnosis from the service mgr. I would even ask to see the "bent" parts and ask how that happened.
