None yet, just a bed cover. But will be doing the whole thing for overlanding.
I never had any lights about low coolant

Oh hell no. Fuck that dealership. Business owner or not. Put them on BLAST. They are already pulling shady shit and the minute you spoke to a manager it should have been taken care of and fixed.
I've had horrible situations with dealers and me keeping my mouth shut will only allow them to fuck over more hard working people.

Dont let them do this to other people.

Internal combustion engines are Sealed..the dirt and so forth have nothing to do with a bent rod nor blown head gasket. You had all of your work done at the dealership, all checks and fills are on them now. Codes can not read metallurgical defects.

this was my other problem. How do they know I have a bent piston rod if my engine is still fully put together?

Try to keep your cool. You play a stronger hand when they realize you won’t be flustered by them. Just stick to your guns and let them know they will not get by with anything less than proper warranty backing. If it goes to litigation, no one wins but be sure they realize that they will lose more.

Right..how did a "Service Writer" quote, unquote, know you have a bent piston rod..much less a blown head gasket?

They can pull plugs and measure piston heights from plug tubes. If one is bent enough, they'll be able to tell pretty easily.

Thanks. At this point, I have had time to reflect, receive advice, and have better operational awareness with far less knee jerk responsiveness. If I know This dealership group at all, the GM will have them cut the garbage to save possible hits on their survey. I’m have a backup dealer that I should have brought it to in the first place, it’s just an hour away and I didn’t want to have to make that drive. I really don’t want this to go in any kind of litigation. I just want Toyota to do the right thing but if I must...

I also say shit can that dealership. There’s no way you can reasonably trust them. There’s so much shit to shortcut in this repair.

Yea man. Terminate that relationship stat. Find another dealer. Ask in the forum for your area for recommendations.

Edit: service center locations is what I mean

LOL at these shady ass dealerships. They should be apologizing and fixing the truck already rather than trying to blame you for it. How did the truck drive with a bent rod? I am willing to bet anything that if you get Toyota on the phone this will be taken care of, and quickly assuming the dealership doesn't make it right on their own.

Maybe after you get it back it might be worth having an independent shop look it over
