I have seen more bent steps on those aluminum bars than anything. We just cut off the ones on my friends truck

Bend, weld, break again (easier this time), bend again, weld again, ...

There is a saying about "repeating a sequence and expecting a different result" ...

I removed my predator steps because I knew sooner or later I would bend them up. When removed they weigh hardly anything at all, very light weight and really no protection at all except for door ding protectors.

OP asked how to fix. Being aluminum probably a well placed crescent wrench could bend them back with a cheater bar on the end. Maybe try a slide hammer to pull them back. Guarantee that Al now has fatigue cracks at the bends so good chance you’ll break them off if you get too aggressive. I wouldn’t heat Al so close to your door if you value your paint.

This tread convinced me to get tube steps. Short in inseam wife is the concern.

I might bring this stool with me. And just run around like the driver on a horse and buggy for her.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
Congratulations, you officially need these. :spending:

The supervisor was able to climb in just fine with no steps. Didn’t even have to use the red kitchen stool.
