    Progress at this point is slow. Right now, installing the kit would require a bit more plastic trimming than we had originally hoped for, so we are working on a solution that doesn't require so much trimming. We'll keep everybody updated on progress.

    Not as many people are going to be willing to buy a kit that needs a whole lot of their truck cut up, he will sell a WHOLE LOT more if he can say "no cutting required, plug and play"

    xxaarraa - pretty much what ruger is saying, except it's not so much that my main concern is fewer customers who would be willing to trim some plastic as it is that I worry about customers expecting the installation to be a breeze, and then they buy a kit and realize that they are in over their head when they try to install it. I want it to be as straigtforward and standardized as possible so customers know exactly what they are getting into when it comes to the installation. Until I can get to that level of comfort, I am hesitant to relase a kit for use in AC's.

    However, I don't think there will ever be any such thing as a kit that requires NO cutting -- I'm just trying to find a way to do it where cutting is kept to the most minimum extent practicable.

    Thanks for the offer. They changed the rear seatbacks on the 09+ AC's, right? (added headrests?) So far I haven't found anybody local with an 09+ to help, so I may take you up on that if I can't find anybody local with an 09+.

    Yeah, the headrest was added on the 09. And I believe the rear seat storage also changed.
