    Was really a piece of cake Greg. I just took my time and didn't force anything too hard. The adhesive that holds the latch to the glass is like a soft plastic that the blade cuts through nicely. Once the latch was detached, there was some leftover adhesive that needed to be pared away off the glass, but too was easy.

    You certainly could reposition the glass so that it is fully shut if you want to, but its not really necessary. You simply loosen the two allen screws on the bracket when the regulator is in the full closed position, then slide the glass over as far as it will go, and retighten the screws.

    I might be wrong, but I would think you'd just need a second actuator on the cap window that you could tap into the wires for the one in the truck. I wouldn't think that would be hard at all, but would most likely be right at twice the price...

    I'm not terribly familiar with canopy windows, but I think pretty much what Bradley said would be your best bet. I have had one customer who got two regulators from me, one for the truck window and one for the canopy window. I'm not sure what he did to fit the one to the canopy. Depending on the size of the window of the canopy, it might need some custom sized parts.

    I got the new one hooked up. Works great, smooth and no issues. Instead of pulling the latch off the glass, I took the bar off that it latches to (the one with the two screws) and used my dremel to cut the material off where it catches. So, even if I take the canopy off, it still looks like it is latched.

    It's not cold fusion or anything. It will work, I just need the time to do it. A few things have to be made and thought out while installing the kit. It will happen as soon as I can devote a few hours to it. :D

    This is something that I've been curious about, too. I have been meaning to go to a few local custom auto places to see if they would be willing/able to install this kit. I would think at the very least a car audio place would install the switch and the electrical stuff (wiring, add-a-circuit, etc), which IMO is one of the more challenging steps of the install. The rest of the install is really a piece of cake, except for trimming the plastic storage cubby (which really isn't that difficult if you have the right tools).

    FWIW, I promise to have an installation how-to video put up soon.

    On my truck, the anchor that the window latches to is held on by two small screws. I simply removed them and the strip at the edge of the window frame, and now the window does not latch to anything. it closes all the way making a good seal. It looks clean and can be put back if ever I want.

    I have an 08 DC. and am very interested in this kit. Is there any way of hiding the motor behind the plastic storage bin panel? Perhaps a longer cable so the motor can be mounted in the space below the storage bin?

    I did it to a 2010. Benwa's kit fits behind the panel no problem and you don't need longer cables to do it.I didn't cut the back panel at all. I finally finished today, this photo is unfinished. It works perfectly and I am very pleased
