    That looks pretty damn cool! How did you secure the sliding trolley to the window glass? Did you use a 90 degree angle bracket of some kind? Nice work!

    There is no way to hide everything behind the rear storage panel with the kit's current design. What you see in the pics on page 1 is the best we can do for now.

    yeah, I meant to say the motor fits well. Cables are perfect. I did however have to mount the track slightly differently allowing me to NOT have to cut the rear panel.

    exactly, 1"x3"x 6"s long aluminum, I had to use 1/4" thick because I could not find it in 1/8" thick aluminum. I am still working on aesthetics's but I am happy with it so far. It works really well!

    So, the motor is completely out of sight? Ben (OP) says it can't be done. I have a DC, so the set-up may be different. I would really prefer the motor mounted behind the panel, and out of sight, instead of in the storage cubby as shown in the first post. How much room does the motor take? (rough dimentions would be appreiciated. The longest L x W x D)

    Actually BenWa said the whole assembly can't be hidden behind the panel I think. I mounted the motor just fine with zero clearance issue's. I am not sure how room a DC has but i think at least as much.

    Leggo: Does it look like one could mount the entire assembly behind the seat and then create a lengthened bracket to actually contact the window? I just don't know if I can live with the whole thing in the open like that. Seems there should be a way to mount it lower with a gap at the top for a bracket/adapter sort of thing to make contact with the window. Do you have some closer pics at different angles and such?

    Sorry Boss, there is a steel support shelf right under the top of the back panel top .. I don't see a way to do it without destroying the panel itself, which I don't want to do personally. I did not cut the panel at all, in fact I had to space it above the panel for that very reason. I used the headrest holes to run the cables down thru. You cannot see any of it when looking in the rear view mirror. There is no restriction of sight.

    I didn't mean w/o some cutting of things. I just wonder how an angle grinder with a cutting wheel would do with being able to stash the whole thing underneath.

    I bet. My last truck was a Tundra which had a full rolling rear window and it was one of my favorite features. I miss that and had hoped that a mod such as this could solve what's missing for me.

    Everything is possible, but I would not recommend cutting the support structure out of the cabin. Then you would have to really chop the panel itself to allow for the "bracket" to travel left and right. Plus, I have that stupid sub mounted right in the middle as well. Stereo really sounds bad without it.
    Actually the sound is not as bad with the new HU that lets me adjust the frequency on it.
    I am ok with it showing, in fact I don't see it anymore. It looks "normal" to me now. Goodluck.:D

    Yeah, I'm sure I'm just being overly sensitive but that's how I am when it comes to mods. I want things to be invisible or look like they came from the factory that way.

    In the double cab, it is invisible with the seats up. You only see it when you bring the seats down.

    maybe you could put up some kind of panel to block the view of it, but I think it's a long shot to get it all down behind the panel

    It can't be done in the double cab the way the kit is currently configured. There's not a lot of spare space behind the plastic panel that isn't already occupied by something (such as the body cross member that runs along the back wall of the cab, JBL subwoofer, etc). I unfortunatley don't have any kits in stock to measure the motor. It is pretty compact, but beyond the dimensions of the motor itself, you also have to take in to accout the cable entry/exit point from the motor (the cables can't be bent sharply), and also accessibility to the motor power terminals. The Access Cab is different in that the motor and cables CAN fit behind the rear seatback, which also takes on the same role as the plastic storage panel in the double cabs.
