Does this work if you have the JBL sub instead of the passenger side storage bin?

    Looks like a great mod!

It does work with the JBL sub, but trimming of plastic panel is required.

    Hey BenWA:

I live in Seattle (Burien) and I'd be willing to offer up my truck as a test model for an Access Cab. I'll purchase all the parts if you'll help me install it.

Hey Dart, thanks for offering up your truck as a test model. We have Forster lined up to be the guinea pig for an AC but if for any reason that falls through you can count on me taking you up on your offer. :)

Either way, if we do get it figured out with Forster's AC I'd be more than happy to help you install a kit on yours.

The latch is disabled and is not utilized once this mod is installed.

There's no way to force the window open from the outside with this mod -- it's equally secure from break-ins as the stock slider with the latch.

Whether stock or modded for power, the window glass is the weakest link and will be the first thing to break if somebody really wants to get in.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
Hows the stress on weather stripping? I have to open my rear slider just right otherwise the weather stripping comes off. I know several guys who have this problem.

I was unaware of this problem. Not sure how this mod would affect that. Can't imagine it would be much different from opening/closing by hand, but you say you have to open it "just right" so I'm not sure I have an answer for you to be honest. :notsure:

Where (on the window frame) does the weatherstripping come off?

Not sure if this is an issue or not. I have the linear actuator version and the la is attached to the bottom of the sliding window, much like Benwa's mod. There is no issue with binding on open/close that I've run into.
