Will you be making anymore of the semi-hidden versions for sale?

Here's a drawing of the bracket for semi-hidden double cab / full-hidden access cab. Use 10-32 threads for the set screws, and the endwise holes should be smaller than shown on the drawing (closer to the cable diameter).

I had a bunch of short video clips for the semi-hidden install on my youtube but I guess I deleted them all. I'll see if I can find them on my hard drive.

Awesome, and any pictures would be great. Especially of the pull bracket. I can mill ONE up for myself if I can get a good look at it. The PDF is great but I think a pic would clarify some things on it. Thanks in advance.

Actually I think I have a few left that I could sell for like $20 apiece. I will check my garage.

I also have a boatload of the window rocker switches if anyone is interested that I'd sell for $5 apiece.

Ok, I'll check on how many brackets I have and get back to you guys.

The brackets use set screws to clamp down bare cable ends (i.e., with the die cast cable stops clipped off). They are pretty damn finnicky to install, so use a great deal of caution. If the set screws aren't dogged down tight enough on the cables, the cables can rip out of the bracket and pretty much kill the whole regulator assembly (which is why I never sold this version to the general public).

I found this instruction manual that I was working on for the semi hidden/AC version. It still needs a lot of work (better pictures) which I have laying around but don't have time to go thru at the moment.

Basically it utilizes a Ridgeline regulator, the pull-pull bracket mentioned above, and two cable anchors that secure the cable housings to the window frame.

Once the regulator is acquired, you would need to cut off the aluminum track that comes with it to access the cable ends. Then you would need to clip off the die cast cable stops, get longer cable housings (bicycle brake cable housing available at any bike shop), thread the cables thru the anchor blocks, and secure the cable ends to the pull-pull bracket.

This may all sound simple enough but there are many, many quirks to work thru and I suggest that this is only attempted by extremely tech-savvy folks such as mechanical engineers and the like.

This manual draft that I am posting is for informational purposes only -- not intended to be definitive instructions. Experiment with this mod at your own risk.

Without longer cables, there is no place to mount the motor of the Ridgeline regulator except in the non-hidden portion of the passengers side storage cubby. That is why I called it the "semi hidden" kit. The only way to mount the motor elsewhere is with longer cables, which you will not be able to buy anywhere. I have contacted many wire rope manufacturers in the US and none were willing to make custom cables for this purpose. I do not recommend using bicycle cables -- they are considerably stiffer than regulator cables and will wear the groove of the regulator spool very quickly, and will also tend to de-rail from the groove in the spool and become bound up inside the regulator case due to their stiffness. Trust me. I have been down this road.

Your best bet is to do a semi-hidden version in which you can see the motor mounted in the storage cubby, or to experiment with another regulator altogether such as that used for a sliding window in an F150 or ram 1500.

This is what my semi-hidden kit looked like in the double cab:
    IMAG0160_02dbca6996981efd5464a3e9bb81894c066bd726.jpg

This same embodiment of the mod also works as a full hidden kit in the Access Cabs.
